On Monday the 4th of December, our Founder and CEO, Simon Glass delivered his popular workshop on ‘Debunking Fundraising Myths’ to entrepreneurs on Ignite Bermuda’s accelerator platform.

The workshop demystified prevalent misconceptions and pitfalls that entrepreneurs often encounter when fundraising –leading to them wasting time chasing the wrong investors, or unintentionally undervaluing their offerings.

Drawing on insights from Qodeo’s recent research on the venture capital ecosystem, the session provided valuable tips on what venture capitalists are seeking in today’s challenging economic landscape. It also addressed how entrepreneurs from various regions and backgrounds can overcome obstacles to entering seemingly exclusive venture capital networks.

Designed to assist entrepreneurs in securing funding more efficiently, the workshop delved into topics such as strategically mapping out your fundraising efforts, identifying investors most aligned with your goals, optimizing the funding amount sought, establishing realistic valuations, and gaining an understanding of how venture capitalists perceive your pitch, among other key considerations.
